Mi primer casco protector fue uno que andaba dando vueltas por mi habitaci\u00f3n cuando era ni\u00f1o. No tengo ni idea de d\u00f3nde sali\u00f3 (\u00a1ni de ad\u00f3nde fue a parar!), pero era el tipo de casco que se ve en las comedias de los a\u00f1os setenta. Era de color crema con una visera integral y estaba hecho de lo que parec\u00eda cart\u00f3n comprimido. Era un casco sin Adhesivo ACU Gold<\/a>\u00a1! Era el tipo de sombrero cutre que llevar\u00eda alguien como Twiggy en la \u00e9poca anterior a la obligatoriedad del casco. Probablemente le quedaba bien, pero era una cosa horrible y tan segura como llevar una redecilla en el pelo. Los cascos de seguridad antes de los a\u00f1os 80 no ten\u00edan ning\u00fan sentido y, por suerte, yo era demasiado joven para necesitar un casco de seguridad en aquella \u00e9poca, as\u00ed que me ahorr\u00e9 la verg\u00fcenza.<\/p>\n

No s\u00e9 exactamente qui\u00e9n fabric\u00f3 mi primer casco proper. Sin embargo, puedo imaginarlo v\u00edvidamente, primero en la habitaci\u00f3n de mi amigo, donde lo codici\u00e9 profundamente. Era una gran chapuza -a mediados de los 80, as\u00ed que es normal- y en aquella \u00e9poca era un aut\u00e9ntico objeto de deseo. Ten\u00eda aerograf\u00edas marrones y rojizas y dos o tres zonas circulares con cruces de hierro alemanas. Tambi\u00e9n ten\u00eda un interior de pana marr\u00f3n. Suena bonito, \u00bfverdad?<\/p>\n

Era grande, chula y cara, y yo la quer\u00eda de verdad. Y cuando tuve mi primera moto, se la compr\u00e9 a mi amigo por 10 libras y le quit\u00e9 el nombre del fabricante, que estaba pegado en el protector de la barbilla con gruesas pegatinas negras.<\/p>\n

Dicho esto, sigo sin tener ni idea de qui\u00e9n fabric\u00f3 el casco, pero me encantar\u00eda saberlo. Si a alguien le suena, que lo comente a continuaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
