Motorcycle Helmets with a Wide Visor

It’s worth buying a helmet with a wide visor. They give better peripheral vision which is great for improved visibility and a more involved riding experience. It’s also important for spotting more hazards on the street and if you’re a trackday rider, for being aware of the riders around you. All in all, helmets with larger visor apertures are just better.

Human vision can only extend around 200-220 degrees horizontally or 130-135 degrees vertically, so if you go for a helmet with a wide visor, those are the max figures you’re looking out for. Many helmet brands simply state their helmet’s got a wide visor or wider peripheral vision, but where they quote figures, we’ll include them in the review.

So, if a helmet has a particularly wide visor, then it’ll be included in the reviews and articles below.
