Details last updated Oct 2021.
We carefully select which retailers we recommend to our customers. Each of our recommended retailers must add something marvellous to you. They might be a total pleasure to buy from; have feedback systems where customers can rate their performance; offer an unrivalled level of choice or lowest prices – or offer great service when things go wrong and you need to return stuff.
And preferably do all of the above!
Below, we’ve listed out why you should choose one of our recommended retailers and provided quick links to jump to pages on their websites to find the latest ordering/returns info. Plus you can see at-a-glance some of their key terms and conditions, returns and delivery policies.
Disclosure: as always, should you follow one of our links and buy anything, we get a small % of the sale price at no extra cost to you – the price you see using our links is the same as going to the site directly.
Warning: all helmet returns/exchanges to all retailers need to be in as-new condition with tags and stickers attached in original packaging. If they’re not, they won’t accept them back, so only wear your new lid carefully around the house and make sure you’re entirely happy with it before removing them.

Amazon UK
Most of us love shopping at Amazon because it’s so easy. So we link into some helmet suppliers there too. Where possible, we’ll link only to quality retailers who score great reviews either on Amazon itself or on 3rd party review sites such as Truspilot or Google reviews. Where we drop you onto a brand page full of different retailers, we suggest you check out their ratings before you buy and only buy from the most reputable sellers. Doing that’ll help you avoid buying non-genuine helmets too.
You’ll generally find the name of the seller underneath the Buy Now button. Click the link and it’ll take you to the seller’s homepage where you’ll find their ratings.
Below you’ll find some of the Amazon sellers we link to (all scores correct at time of writing). Click the links to visit each seller’s storefront.

EUROPEAN RETAILERS
Brexit update – in the UK and ordering from Europe?
Obviously, there have been issues ordering from Europe recently since we Brexited. But the good news is that motorcycle helmets are VAT exempt. Which means if you order a helmet from Europe, you won’t get stung to pay the VAT when it’s delivered.
OK, that’s the good news. The not so good news is that it seems if you buy anything over £135 (or €150) you’ll be liable for import duty and admin fees, collectable by the courier on delivery. Though that’s only if something has been made outside the EU – which of course lots of motorbike gear is.
And if your gear’s liable for duty, the courier can also lump on extra costs to cover their paperwork and duty collection costs.
In practice, being charged duty and admin fees often doesn’t happen it seems, but it’s a bit hit and miss – sometimes it does so beware. And if you’re buying a lot of gear, that total extra fee can add up.
*other motorbike protective clothing is not VAT exempt.
Chromeburner
Chromeburner have one shop and a warehouse in the Netherlands. They get great online reviews, scoring 4.7/5 on Trustpilot at the time of writing. They try and dispatch orders before 5pm the same day and will offer pricematch. Chromeburner have a 100 days returns/exchange policy though the buyer has to pay for returns.

Note, orders can take 3-5 days to be dispatched, though they usually do it more quickly. Motoin have a 100 days return policy.

FC-Moto
FC-Moto are a German retailer based in Wurselen near Aachen. We include FC-Moto mainly because they usually offer a massive range of helmets and designs and often have low prices (even since the announcement of Brexit) – so if you’re after choice and reasonable prices, they’re worth a look.
Drawbacks: If you’re in the UK, FC-Moto’s prices do not include shipping costs (you can find their delivery rates on the links below). Their returns policies are a stingier than some other retailers too – 30 day no quibble returns – though that’s probably OK for most of us. Note, because they’re based outside the UK, their helmets won’t come with an ACU Gold sticker on – that’s only an issue if you’re wanting to take your helmet on the track and doesn’t affect how legal it is on the road (that’s ECE 22.05 approval which all EU helmets must have). They can take a while to actually despatch goods too – they quote 2-5 days (down from 5-7 days!) on their website – so if you’re after your helmet quickly, you’re probably best looking at one of our other retailers.
Here’s what happened when we ordered a helmet from FC-Moto.
Delivery - UK | Typical helmet around £7 - calculated at Checkout | Click here for FC-Moto FAQ. |
Delivery - Eu, USA and RoW | Varies. Eg. Germany €4, France €6, USA $30, AU $32 | Click here for FC-Moto FAQ. |

US RETAILERS
Some helmets are only available from the USA – in which case we’ll give you links through to our recommended retailers over the pond. Note, if you’re outside the US and buy a US helmet to use on the road, it’ll be DOT certified so won’t be road-legal. Often, the only difference is the DOT sticker on the back of a helmet (needs to be ECE) but the law’s the law – we’ll leave it to you whether it’s worth the risk!
Revzilla
Revzilla is a well-known US retailer with a store in Philadelphia. They get amazing ratings – see the table below for the latest scores but at the time of writing that’s 9.8/10 on Reseller Ratings and 4.9/5 on Google customer reviews. While they offer free deliver in the US for orders over $40, there’s a set charge of $40+ for shipping to the UK (plus there may be import duty which you’ll have to pay before your parcel’s delivered). But I guess it can be worth the extra for something that’s a bit unique in Europe.
